Merry Christmas Friends and Family
As many of you may know, but some may not, we saw a big change in 2024 with the sale of our family's beloved Hidden Valley Ranch. Our ranch, located in Moapa Valley, NV, has been in our family since it was purchased by my Grandfather, Kenny Searles, in 1948. It is a special place that has created endless memories for not only our family, but many others as well. For those of you who follow Chelsey on social media, you likely have already seen this, but for those who haven't, I would like to share the farewell video and post that Chelsey made showing just a handful of our memories at Hidden Valley Ranch.

How do you say goodbye to a place that holds not only your own lifetime of memories, but your Mom’s, your Grandma’s and your Great-Grandpa’s too?
In 1934, a 22 year old man named Kenny Searles moved himself, his wife and 6 month old daughter to Las Vegas to start a dairy. Then in 1948, when my Grandma was just 14 years old, my Great-Grandpa purchased hundreds of acres of land way out in the middle of the desert and turned it into a working cattle ranch to supply the milk for his growing business. Hidden Valley Ranch was born.
I know that part of my Great-Grandpa’s intent when he purchased the land was to have something he could pass down to his family, to have a legacy to leave behind. But what he couldn’t have known at the time, was that generations later, his great-granddaughter would be sitting here in tears trying to express just how very much that legacy has meant to her throughout her life.
Hidden Valley Ranch has given me some of my happiest memories and has helped shape the person that I am. It has been my place of refuge, of happiness, of growth, of clarity. My escape from the city. My place of peace. And it was the same for my Mom & the rest of our family too.
It is such a special & unique place & the pain of not having it anymore is unimaginable. The sale of our beloved ranch was the right decision for a lot of reasons, but also the hardest choice we have ever made.
But while the feelings of loss are tremendous, so too are my feelings of gratitude. I’m immensely grateful for all the years that this land was ours. For every single moment and memory that this ranch gave us. I’m grateful for Monico & Felipe and their dedication and friendship. I’m grateful that we were blessed enough to have a realtor who acknowledged the magnitude of what this sale meant to my family. And I am grateful that God sent us a buyer who appreciates the land and legacy as much as we do and who I truly trust will continue to be a positive steward of this land that we so deeply love.
I will hold this place in my heart for the rest of my life. It is irreplaceable. Goodbye our beautiful Hidden Valley Ranch. 💔
